“Drawing and Painting the Figure

The Red Palette Art Center is excited about hosting a workshop with the very popular artist, Liz Hill.
This class will incorporate anything that will make your figure pieces more exciting.
Liz will do several demos to show how she creates her wonderfully creative and award
winning compositions. 
  • Learn how to see and draw figures both moving and seated.
  • How to plan for exciting compositions with figure using strong design.
  • How to paint figures and integrate them into backgrounds.
  • The power and content of abstraction.
  • New techniques in a variety of media.

Dates:  Friday, February 11 and Saturday, February 12, 2011
Time:  10:00 am to 4:00pm

Workshop Cost:  $150.00   (plus nominal model’s fee)

I will provide materials you will need to create your first piece.  I do strongly suggest, if you have any small sentimental pieces you would like to add to your mosaic, please bring it with you to create a meaningful focal point…..coins, beads, watches, rocks, figurines porcelain flowers, birds etc.

Day OneWe will focus on putting your creation together,
Day TwoConcludes with the grouting process
